Post meeting notes to Slack
SlackProUpdated Nov 3, 2026
Connect Slack and choose a channel, and Acta posts each meeting's notes there when they're ready: the summary, decisions and action items you choose, with a button to open the meeting in Acta. Your team sees what was agreed without opening another app.
Connect Slack
- 1In Acta, open Integrations, find Slack and click Connect.
- 2Choose your Slack workspace and click Allow.
- 3Back in Acta, the Set up Slack window opens.
Choose where and what to post
- 1Type the Channel, like #sales-calls. Public channels work straight away. For a private channel, first type /invite @Acta in it.
- 2Under What to post, tick the parts you want: Summary, Decisions, Action items and Key takeaways.
- 3Under Which meetings, keep All my meetings, or choose Only meetings whose title has and type words such as demo, sales.
- 4Click Send a test post to check the channel, then Save.
What the post contains
- The meeting's title, date, start time and length.
- The parts you ticked, as short lists. Action items show who owns them and when they're due.
- An Open in Acta button to the full notes and transcript.
Posted once
Each meeting is posted once, when its notes are ready, usually a few minutes after it ends. If a meeting is summarised again, it isn't posted twice.
Change or stop posting
- Click Settings on the Slack card to change the channel or what's posted.
- Turn off Post after each meeting to pause posting and keep Slack connected.
- Click Disconnect to remove Slack. Agent Builder agents that send Slack messages stop too, until you connect Slack again.
Troubleshooting
The card says the Acta app isn't in the channel
Open the channel in Slack, type /invite @Acta, then send a test post again.
The card says Slack needs connecting again
Click Reconnect on the Slack card and allow access again.
A meeting wasn't posted
Check that Post after each meeting is on, and that the meeting's title has one of your words if you chose Only meetings whose title has.
