Everything you need, nothing in the call

No bot in the call

Acta records from your browser. Nobody sees a notetaker join, and it works where bots are blocked.

Meet, Zoom and Teams

Works with Google Meet, and with Zoom and Microsoft Teams when you join them in Chrome.

Speaker names

Speaker names are picked up live from the meeting, so the transcript shows who said what.

Notes in minutes

Transcript, summary and action items appear in your Acta account shortly after the call.

Nothing else to install

Any computer with Chrome. Handy on a work laptop where you can't install apps.

Private to you

Recordings go to your Acta account and are shared only if you share them.

Frequently asked questions

Use the Zoom or Teams desktop apps? Get the desktop app. On the go? Get the mobile app.

Will other people see a bot in the meeting?

No. The extension records from your browser, so no extra participant joins the call.

Which meetings can it record?

Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams when they run in Chrome. For the Zoom and Teams desktop apps, use the Acta desktop app.

Is the extension free?

It's included in every Acta plan, including the Free plan for 15 days.

What permissions does it need?

Microphone access, so your own voice is in the recording. Chrome asks for it the first time you record.

Should I tell people I'm recording?

Yes. It's good practice, and in many places the law, to let others know the meeting is being recorded.
