How do I make an AI notetaker join my meetings automatically?

Short answer

Connect your calendar and turn on auto-join. Sign in to Acta with Google or Microsoft, open Settings → Meetings and turn on Auto-join scheduled meetings. Acta's notetaker then joins the Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams meetings on your calendar, even when you can't attend.

How to do it with Acta

  1. 1

Sign in with Google or Microsoft

Auto-join needs your calendar, so it's available when you sign in to Acta with Google or Microsoft.

  2. 2

    Open Settings → Meetings

The calendar Acta reads is shown under the switch.

  3. 3

    Turn on Auto-join

    Switch on Auto-join scheduled meetings.

  4. 4

Or send it to one call

In My meetings, click Invite to live meeting, paste the meeting link and click Invite Acta.

What you get

  • Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams
  • Records meetings you can't attend
  • Notes in My meetings a few minutes after the call
  • Bot-free options when you'd rather not have a notetaker in the call

Good to know

The Auto-join switch is greyed out. Why?

Auto-join needs your calendar, so it's available when you sign in to Acta with Google or Microsoft.

What if the meeting has a waiting room?

Let Acta in from the waiting room, as you would any participant.

Can I record without a notetaker joining?

Yes. The desktop app and Chrome extension record from your own computer, with no bot in the call.
