How do I send an AI notetaker to a meeting link right now?
Short answer
Use Invite to live meeting. In Acta, go to My meetings, click Invite to live meeting, paste the Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams link and click Invite Acta. The notetaker joins the call as a participant, records it and writes the notes, even if you aren't in the meeting yourself.
How to do it with Acta
- 1
Copy the meeting link
Copy the join link. For Zoom, copy the link itself, not the Meeting ID and Passcode text.
- 2
Invite Acta
In My meetings, click Invite to live meeting and paste the link in Meeting link.
- 3
Name it
Optionally add a title, such as "Weekly sync", then click Invite Acta.
- 4
Let it in
If the meeting has a waiting room or lobby, admit Acta when it asks to join.
What you get
- No calendar connection needed
- Works when you're late or can't attend
- Google Meet, Zoom and Teams links
- Also from the mobile app and desktop app
