How do I automatically record every Zoom and Teams meeting?

Short answer

Pick one of two settings. Without a bot: in the Acta desktop app, turn on Record detected meetings automatically, and Acta records Zoom and Teams app meetings on your computer as soon as they start. With the notetaker: turn on Auto-join scheduled meetings and Acta joins the meetings on your Google or Microsoft calendar.

How to do it with Acta

  1. 1

    Install the desktop app

Download Acta for Windows or Mac and turn on Launch at startup.

  2. 2

    Turn on automatic recording

In the app's Settings, turn on Record detected meetings automatically.

  3. 3

    Or record calendar meetings

Tick the calendar meetings under Record them on this device automatically.

  4. 4

    Or send the notetaker

In Acta, Settings → Meetings, turn on Auto-join scheduled meetings.

What you get

  • No bot with the desktop app
  • A reminder 1 minute before calendar meetings
  • Never recorded twice when the bot is in the call
  • Notes ready after every meeting

Good to know

The Auto-join switch is greyed out

Auto-join needs your calendar, so it's available when you sign in to Acta with Google or Microsoft.

Does it work for meetings in the browser?

The desktop app notices meetings in the Zoom and Teams apps. For meetings in Chrome, use the Chrome extension or the notetaker.

Is Acta free to try?
