Free tools / Meeting agenda generator

Build a timed meeting agenda

Add the meeting's goal and topics with a lead, the minutes each needs and whether it's to decide, discuss or inform. The generator works out the start time of every item, adds a wrap-up and warns you if the topics run over.

Free, no sign-up. Runs in your browser; nothing you type is sent anywhere.

How to use the meeting agenda generator

  1. 1

    Write the goal

What the meeting must produce. If you can't write one, you may not need the meeting.

  2. 2

    Add topics

Give each a lead, minutes and a type: Decide, Discuss or Inform.

  3. 3

    Check the time

Topics that need a decision go first. Leave a few minutes to wrap up.

  4. 4

    Copy and send

Paste it into the invite or an email a day before.

Then let Acta take the notes

After the meeting, Acta writes the decisions, next steps and action items with owners from what was said, so the agenda's goal turns into a record of what was agreed.

What should a meeting agenda include?

The goal, the topics in order with a lead and time for each, any pre-reads and the decisions the meeting needs to make.

How long before a meeting should I send the agenda?

At least a day before, so people can prepare or decide not to attend.

Is anything saved?

No. The generator runs in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere.

Is there a template too?

Yes. Our free meeting agenda template has the same structure to copy into a document.
