Report templates: how they work

TemplatesWeb appUpdated Oct 27, 2026

A report template tells Acta what document to write from a meeting: a MEDDPICC deal report, a PRD, an incident post-mortem, board minutes and more. Turn on the templates you need, and after each meeting the reports appear next to the summary and the transcript.

Turn templates on

  1. 1In Acta, click Templates in the sidebar.
  2. 2Find a template: type in Search templates, or filter by group, such as Sales or Healthcare. On shows the ones you have turned on.
  3. 3Click Preview → on a card to see what the report covers.
  4. 4Turn on the switch on the card. The count at the top shows how many templates are on.

When you first sign up, Acta turns on the templates for the role you pick. You can change them any time.

Find the reports after a meeting

  1. 1Open the meeting from My meetings.
  2. 2Click the Templates tab. Its number is how many reports this meeting has.
  3. 3Pick a report on the left. It opens on the right with its group, its name and the meeting it came from.
  • Reports start with In short: the main points, how confident Acta is, and what was missing from the conversation.
  • A report marked Auto is one Acta picked because it fits the conversation. Click Turn on for future meetings to keep it.
  • Templates that didn't fit this meeting are listed last, under Not relevant.

Use a report

ButtonWhat it does

DownloadSaves it as a PDF report, Word (.doc) or Markdown file. Ticket suggestions can also be saved as a CSV file.
Push to CRMAdds the report as a note on the customer's contact in Salesforce, HubSpot or Zoho. It shows when a CRM is connected in Integrations.

Troubleshooting

It says "No template reports for this meeting"

No template was on, and none fitted the conversation. Click Choose templates, turn on the ones you need, and they run on your next meetings.

I don't see Push to CRM

It shows only when a CRM is connected. Connect Salesforce, HubSpot or Zoho in Integrations.

A report says it is not relevant

That template didn't match what was discussed, for example a deal report for an internal stand-up. It's listed last, under Not relevant.
