How do I track project risks raised in meetings?

Short answer

Let your meetings fill the risk register. Acta's Risk Registry collects every risk raised in your meetings and updates it after each new one. The same risk raised in several meetings stays one row, with the agreed or suggested mitigation, owner, date, impact, status and a history of every meeting it came up in.

How to do it with Acta

  1. 1

    Record your project meetings

Standups, status meetings, steering committees and client calls.

  2. 2

    Open the Risk Registry

Go to My meetings → Risk Registry to see every risk raised.

  3. 3

    Check owners and impact

High risks without an owner or with an overdue fix need attention first.

  4. 4

    Confirm closed risks

When a meeting says a risk is solved, Acta suggests closing it for you to confirm.

What you get

  • One row per risk, across meetings
  • Mitigation, owner, date, impact and status
  • History of every meeting it came up in
  • Solved risks closed as a suggestion for you to confirm

Good to know

What's the difference between a risk and an issue?

A risk might happen. An issue has already happened and needs fixing now.

Does Acta also keep a decision log?

Yes. Decisions from your meetings are logged with who decided, the owner and linked action items.
